International Aviation Academy the training arm of SriLankan Airlines has been awarded as one of the South Asia’s top performing IATA Authorized Training centers in 2017. The Academy was recognized for developing the people in the Aviation Industry by reaching out to the next generation aviation professionals.
2014 - South Asia Top Performing Authorized Training Center (ATC)
International Aviation Academy the training arm of SriLankan Airlines has been awarded as one of the South Asia’s top performing IATA Authorized Training centers in 2014. The Academy was recognized for developing the people of Airline Industry in the country by reaching out to the next generation of leaders who are interested in the aviation field. IAA has been recognized by accruing highest number of students trained and highest exam pass rate throughout the year 2013.
2013 – IATA Premier Circle Member (Worldwide Top 10)
The International Aviation Academy (IAA) of SriLankan Training has been conferred a prestigious recognition from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), as one of the World’s Top Ten Authorised Aviation Training Centres of its 2013 Premier Circle – an assessment made on the evaluation of 440 aviation training centres in 90 countries.
The training centres have been evaluated on the rate of growth, expansion, student ratings, standard of facilities and the centres’ commitment to promote IATA training programmes.
Among the world’s Top Ten are Etihad Airways; Japan’s, Air Cargo Training Centre and Japan Aircargo Forwarders Association (JAFA); Kenya’s Air Travel & Related Studies Centre; the Qatar Aeronautical College; India’s, Trade Wings Institute of Management, Speedwings Academy for Aviation Services, Akbar Academy of Airline Studies, and India International Trade Centre.
2012 – IATA South Asia Top Ten Authorized Training Centre (ATC)
The International Air Transportation Association (IATA) names SriLankan Airlines’ International Aviation Academy (IAA) as one of its ten best Authorised Training Centres (ATC) in South Asia, for 2012. The award is a formidable endorsement of the outstanding contribution by IAA in developing human capital for tomorrow’s air transport industry and related sectors.
The award was based on IAAs strategic direction and progress, quality of delivery, and end result on an overall high aggregate of 90 per cent.
